Who we are
HeroHunt.ai is a professional recruitment search service operated by Eevee Meets B.V., registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 81700334).
For the professional profiles described here, we act as an independent controller. You can reach us at support@herohunt.ai.
What this notice covers
We maintain a database of professional profiles that employers and recruiters can search to find people for open roles. This notice explains what we hold, where it comes from, why, and the rights you have.
It does not cover data an employer holds about you in their own systems. If a specific employer has data about you, please contact them directly.
What we hold
Professional information, such as:
- Name, and where published, a profile photo
- Professional contact details, such as a work email address or phone number
- City and country
- Current and previous roles and employers
- Education, skills, and professional qualifications
- Links to public professional profiles, and related public professional content
We may also derive professional attributes from this information, such as seniority or area of expertise.
We do not seek to collect special categories of personal data (such as health, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, sexual orientation or racial or ethnic origin), and we do not infer such characteristics. We do not collect data relating to criminal convictions or offences.
Where it comes from
We obtain professional information from publicly accessible professional sources and from third-party data providers who supply professional data under contract. Where you ask us about the source of information we hold about you, we will provide the information available to us.
Why we hold it, and our legal basis
Our purpose is to enable employers and recruiters to identify professionals with relevant skills and experience for open roles.
Our legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, being our interest and our customers' interest in providing and using a professional recruitment search service. We have assessed this against your interests and rights, taking into account that the information concerns you in a professional capacity, is generally information published for professional visibility, and that you can object at any time.
Because we did not obtain this information from you directly, and given the number of people concerned, providing individual notice would involve disproportionate effort. We therefore make this information publicly available, as contemplated by Article 14(5)(b) GDPR.
Who we share it with
- Our customers, being employers and recruiters who use our service. When a customer receives a profile, they act as an independent controller and are responsible for how they use it, including any contact they make with you.
- Our service providers, being hosting, infrastructure and related suppliers who process data on our instructions.
We do not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
Where we process it
Personal data is stored primarily in the European Economic Area. Some of our systems and suppliers operate in the United States, so data may also be processed there. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep professional profiles for as long as they remain relevant to professional recruitment, and review and update our records periodically. Where we no longer have a basis to hold information, we remove it. If you ask us to remove your profile, we may retain a minimal record of your request so that we can give effect to it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- receive certain data in a portable format; and
- object to our processing of your data, on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where you object, we will stop processing your data unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@herohunt.ai. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally one month. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
Removing your profile
If you would prefer not to appear in our database, email support@herohunt.ai with the email address or profile link concerned and ask us to remove it. We will action your request and take reasonable steps to prevent the profile being added again.
If you are in the United States
Residents of certain US states have rights under state privacy laws, which may include the right to know what personal information is held, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. To exercise any such right, contact support@herohunt.ai.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@herohunt.ai.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the Dutch Data Protection Authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, Postbus 93374, 2509 AJ Den Haag, the Netherlands, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
If you are in another EEA country, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
