hireEZ Pricing 2026: Cost and Alternatives

hireEZ pricing 2026: the $494 solo plan is billed $5,929 upfront and teams pay a $13,000 median. Contract terms, price history and 8 cheaper alternatives.

hireEZ Pricing 2026: Cost and Alternatives

What hireEZ Really Costs in 2026, What Teams Actually Pay, and the 8 Best Alternatives

hireEZ publishes exactly one price in 2026: $494 a month for a solo recruiter. What the headline does not say is that the $494 rate is an annual plan paid upfront, which makes the true entry ticket $5,929 for one seat, charged when the 7-day trial ends. Pay the same annual plan month by month and the rate becomes $549 per seat, or $6,588 a year - hireEZ checkout. hireEZ's own checkout offers no month-to-month plan; the only monthly contract we found is the same tier on AWS Marketplace, also at $549.

The bigger problem sits above the solo plan. For teams, hireEZ no longer quotes a seat rate at all. Its own pricing page says enterprise pricing is "configured to the stack hireEZ replaces", which means your quote is anchored to what you already spend on LinkedIn Recruiter, a CRM, outreach and scheduling tools - hireEZ Pricing. The better tooled your team is today, the higher the number you will be shown.

This guide breaks down exactly what hireEZ costs at every level, what buyers report actually paying (a $13,000 median contract), the contract terms that decide your real cost, how the pricing changed from the old Hiretual days to the August 2026 relaunch, and the eight strongest alternatives with their verified 2026 prices. Every current price was checked on 29 September 2026 on the vendor's own page, a marketplace listing or a public price list, historical prices come from archived pricing pages, and each figure links to its source.

1. What hireEZ Is in 2026

hireEZ is no longer a sourcing database with a login. It now sells itself as an agentic platform that runs on top of your ATS, covering sourcing, a talent CRM, career sites, applicant review, AI phone screening, interview scheduling and hiring analytics in one contract - hireEZ EZ Agent. That matters for pricing because hireEZ is trying to replace several line items in your budget at once, and it prices itself accordingly. If you only want one of those jobs done, you are shopping in the wrong aisle.

The company was founded in 2015 by Steven Jiang and Xinwen Zhang, and Jiang is still CEO - hireEZ About. It traded as Hiretual until February 2022, when it rebranded to hireEZ alongside a $26 million round led by Conductive Ventures, at which point it claimed 750 million profiles from 45+ open web platforms - PR Newswire. Today the claim is 1B+ candidate profiles across 45+ channels and 70+ Fortune 500 teams as customers, both stated on its own pricing page and neither independently audited.

The last 18 months brought the biggest product changes since the rebrand. hireEZ launched its Agentic AI on 27 March 2025, describing it as "multi-step, semi-autonomous" - PR Newswire. In November 2025 it added ResumeSense, which flags hidden text and prompt injection in resumes and which hireEZ says caught deceptive content in 3 to 5 percent of resumes in internal testing - PR Newswire. Then on 18 August 2026 it announced "The New hireEZ", a platform rebuilt from the ground up on agents, with access from 27 August - PR Newswire.

The screenshot below is the pre-relaunch interface, still shown on hireEZ's sourcing page. It shows why the product is priced as a platform: projects, CRM, sourcing, campaigns, insights and landing pages all sit in one navigation bar, with the EZ Agent proposing a search plan on the right.

Source: hireEZ AI Sourcing page (hireez.com), 2025 interface, accessed September 2026

Notice the counts per project (prospects, contacted, replied, applicants): hireEZ wants to own the whole top of the funnel, not just the search box. That is also the logic behind its July 2026 partnerships with Nexxt and Talroo, which add Nexxt's 150 million nurtured profiles now and Talroo's performance-based job ads once that integration leaves its 2026 early-access phase - PR Newswire. Despite the "combines" headline, these are partnerships, not a merger: the release itself announces "strategic partnerships" with both companies.

The fastest way to see the relaunched product is hireEZ's own two-minute demo from 1 September 2026. A recruiter briefs the agent in plain language, gets matches with reasons attached, and asks market questions such as pool size and salary benchmarks. The video's thumbnail shows an "EZ AI credits" meter in the sidebar of a demo account, a hint that the new platform meters AI usage in credits.

AI Sourcing and Talent Market Insights: Watch the Agent Work | The New hireEZ

Why this matters: you are not pricing a search tool, you are pricing a platform that wants to displace four to six of your existing contracts. How to apply it: before any demo, write down which of your current tools you would genuinely switch off. If the honest answer is "none", hireEZ's pricing logic will work against you, and a single-purpose alternative from section 7 will almost always cost less.

2. hireEZ Pricing in 2026: The Solo Plan, Decoded

The only public hireEZ price is the Growth tier for individual recruiters: $494 per seat per month, billed as a $5,929 annual payment after a 7-day free trial. hireEZ's pricing page presents it as "Solo recruiters start at $494/mo with a 7-day free trial", and everything larger routes to sales - hireEZ Pricing. The checkout page is where the real terms appear, and it is worth reading line by line before you enter a card.

The checkout lists two payment options, and both are annual plans. The "Annual Plan: Monthly Payment Option" costs $549 per seat per month, adding up to $6,588 a year. The "Annual Plan: Upfront Payment Option" costs $494 per seat per month, billed as $5,929 when the trial ends, which hireEZ frames as saving $659 per seat. So the famous $494 is the discounted rate for committing a full year of cash on day eight. The same tier appears on AWS Marketplace at $549 per user per month on a one-month contract, with the vendor noting it is "not recommended for mid-market or enterprise organizations" and that fees are non-refundable - AWS Marketplace.

Growth tier detail What the checkout says
Annual plan, paid upfront $494/seat/mo, $5,929 billed after trial
Annual plan, paid monthly $549/seat/mo, $6,588 per year
Contact credits 300 per seat per month (listed as 4,000/year; 50 in trial)
Rediscovery and export credits 300 each per seat per month (50 each in trial)
AI-Review credits 1,000 per seat per month (200 in trial)
Projects Unlimited (5 in trial)

The credit allowances are the part most buyers skim and later regret skimming. Contact credits are what you spend to reveal an email or phone number, export credits are what you spend to move a profile out, and AI-Review credits pay for the agent screening profiles against your role. With 300 contact reveals a month, a full-time sourcer working three or four live roles can run out mid-month, and the trial's 50 contact credits make it hard to test that ceiling before you pay. Note also that single sign-on and SCIM provisioning are reserved for enterprise plans, per the same checkout FAQ.

It helps to translate the solo plan into a unit price. If contact data is the main thing you are buying, $5,929 spread over roughly 4,000 annual contact credits is about $1.48 per reveal, before counting anything else the seat does. That is not a fair total cost comparison (the seat also buys search, AI review and campaigns), but it is the number to hold in your head when a contact-data tool offers thousands of reveals for a few hundred dollars a year, as section 9 shows.

If a full year paid upfront is more than a solo recruiter wants to commit, there is a month-to-month option in the same category. It is the author's own product, so weigh it with that in mind.

Highlight

HeroHunt.ai

hireEZ's cheapest door is $5,929 a year paid upfront for one seat, and its own checkout has no month-to-month option. HeroHunt.ai bills monthly: Starter is $149 a month (1 user, 3 open positions a month, 750M profiles), Pro is $249 (10 positions, 1B profiles, premium screening models) and Team is $499 for 3 users and 20 positions, with annual plans at ten times the monthly price and an 8-day trial (card required). It covers the part of hireEZ most solo recruiters use: AI search, AI screening against your role, and automated outreach. The honest caveat: HeroHunt.ai is metered on open positions, not seats or contact credits, and unused positions do not roll over, so a desk with very spiky req volume pays for its peak month. It is also not a talent CRM with nurture campaigns, career sites or interview scheduling, so a team that wants all of hireEZ's modules in one contract is comparing different products.

Try HeroHunt.ai free

Why this matters: the published price is real, but it is a one-year commitment dressed as a monthly figure, and the credit caps decide whether one seat is enough. How to apply it: during the 7-day trial, run your two hardest live roles end to end and count how many contact credits a normal week consumes. Multiply by four. If the answer is above 300, you are either buying a second seat or negotiating credits, and your real cost is well above $5,929.

3. Team and Enterprise Pricing: What Buyers Actually Pay

For teams, hireEZ publishes no rate card, and third-party contract data puts the median deal at $13,000 a year, with a typical range of $7,000 to $25,000. Those figures come from Vendr's hireEZ page, last updated February 2026 - Vendr. Vendr does not disclose a 2026 sample size, and its earlier buyer guide showed an average of $19,281 across just 20 deals and 14 unique purchasers, and a maximum of about $48,000 - Vendr 2025 guide (archived). Treat both as directional, not precise.

The median is easier to interpret next to the solo plan. $13,000 is roughly two self-serve seats paid upfront ($11,858), which fits a small in-house team or a boutique agency buying a couple of licences plus an add-on. It also shows that the $7,000 low end is barely above one self-serve seat. hireEZ's Terms of Service describe talent-database sourcing as "an add-on purchase through a Service Order", and AWS's listing says add-ons such as resume screening and agentic capabilities change the custom price, so two contracts with the same seat count can differ widely - hireEZ Terms.

The pricing page explains the method behind enterprise quotes in unusually candid terms. It offers a Stack-Cost Worksheet where you enter your LinkedIn Recruiter seats, standalone sourcing tool, candidate CRM, outreach, AI screening, scheduling and analytics spend, and it then argues that hireEZ "lands as a reduction in total spend rather than an addition" - hireEZ Pricing. The worksheet applies a 50% LinkedIn seat reduction as its conservative case and claims 20-30% of roles can be filled from your existing ATS database. hireEZ also runs a four-week verification with your team before you sign.

The CRM and outreach layer is the heart of that "replace your stack" pitch. The image below, from hireEZ's automated campaigns page, shows the EZ Agent drafting a six-step nurture campaign next to campaign performance metrics, which is the kind of tool hireEZ expects you to switch off when it prices your deal.

hireEZ's campaign builder and EZ Agent campaign plan

Source: hireEZ Automated Campaigns page (hireez.com), accessed September 2026. Figures in the image are illustrative.

That campaign builder is exactly the kind of tool the Stack-Cost Worksheet counts as replaceable, and the honest reading of stack-based pricing cuts both ways. If you genuinely retire a CRM, an outreach tool and some LinkedIn seats, the consolidation argument can be real, because those contracts add up quickly. But the worksheet also hands the seller your full tooling budget before a number is quoted, and a vendor that prices to "the stack it replaces" has no reason to price far below that stack. For context on how the other sourcing platforms' negotiated contracts compare, the chart below plots Vendr's published medians.

Median Annual Contract Value by Sourcing Platform (Vendr, 2026)

The chart corrects a common assumption: hireEZ is not the most expensive platform in its category on negotiated contracts. Its $13,000 median sits below SeekOut's $20,000 (65 purchases) and Gem's $25,700 (233 purchases) - Vendr SeekOut. Findem is the outlier at $58,000, consistent with its AWS listing of a $25,000 twelve-month licence plus usage fees - AWS Marketplace. Why this matters: hireEZ's reputation for being expensive comes mostly from renewals and from the solo entry price, not from its median contract. How to apply it: use $13,000 as your anchor in a first negotiation for two or three seats, and ask for the quote to be broken into seats, credits and add-ons so you can compare it line by line.

4. How hireEZ Pricing Changed From 2020 to 2026

hireEZ's pricing has moved from a free plan with cheap monthly tiers, to a $169 small-business seat, to quote-only deals for most buyers, and back to a published solo plan, which is why so many hireEZ prices you find online are wrong. The "$199" and "$169" per-user figures that still circulate were real, but both plans are gone. $199 was the monthly-billing price of the Professional plan (called Essential before April 2021), which cost $149 a month on annual billing - Hiretual pricing, April 2021 (archived). $169 was the monthly price of the Business Tier, launched in June 2022 "for start-ups and small to mid-sized businesses" with 100 contact credits a month and collaboration for up to three recruiters - hireEZ Business Tier, June 2022 (archived).

The free plan disappeared with the rebrand. The last Hiretual-branded capture, from October 2021, still lists a free Starter plan, while the first hireEZ capture in February 2022 shows only Professional and Enterprise - hireEZ pricing, February 2022 (archived). By July 2022 the main pricing page had become a "Get Pricing" form for enterprise customers, with a separate link sending start-ups and small businesses to the Business Tier, and Professional users were migrated onto Business Tier from 15 August 2022 - hireEZ Help Center. The Business Tier survived into 2024 at the same $169 a month per seat ($1,428 a year on annual billing), but with collaboration cut to two recruiters and extra credits at $75 per 100 - hireEZ Business Tier, April 2024 (archived).

Then the small-business door closed for a while. The pricing link vanished from hireEZ's homepage between January and March 2024, and a three-year customer described a "new features" meeting that turned into a near-fourfold increase because their non-enterprise plan was being retired - Reddit r/recruiting. In January 2025 another recruiter reported being told that the minimum price, even for one user, was $35,000 a year - Reddit r/recruiting. A self-serve route reappeared as the Growth Tier on AWS Marketplace at $549 per user per month by November 2025 - AWS Marketplace, November 2025 (archived). The current pricing page, which the archive evidence suggests went live around August 2026, added the $494 upfront rate and the stack-based enterprise model. Its FAQ is refreshingly direct about the history: asked why hireEZ does not list a flat seat price, it answers, "Honestly, because we used to, and it stopped reflecting what we actually do."

The chart below plots the cheapest published paid seat on monthly billing at the end of each year, taken from hireEZ's archived pricing pages and, for 2025, its AWS Marketplace listing. It is the simplest measure of what it costs one recruiter to walk in the door.

hireEZ's Cheapest Published Paid Seat, Monthly Billing (2020 to 2026)

The jump from $169 to $549 on monthly billing is 3.2x, and on annual billing the step from $119 a month to $494 is roughly 4.2x. The credit allowance rose too, from 100 contact credits per seat per month on the Business Tier to 300 on Growth, so the price per contact credit moved less than the headline: about $1.69 per credit on the old monthly Business Tier against about $1.83 on monthly Growth. What changed most is what the seat now bundles (AI review credits, the EZ Agent, campaigns and insights) and the fact that there is no longer a small, cheap plan for recruiters who only want search and contacts. The diagram below maps the pricing eras.

hireEZ Pricing Eras, 2020 to 2026
From a free plan to quote-only deals and back to a published solo seat

Read the diagram as two tracks since 2025: a self-serve Growth tier at a published price, and an enterprise track that is still quoted case by case against your existing spend. Why this matters: any article, AI answer or competitor comparison quoting hireEZ at $169 or $199 per user is describing a plan that was retired in 2022 or 2024. How to apply it: only trust hireEZ prices dated 2026, and when you compare quotes, compare against the $494 upfront and $549 monthly Growth rates, which are the only numbers hireEZ itself stands behind. Our recruiting software pricing index tracks the same kind of correction across 40 tools.

5. The Contract Terms That Decide Your Real Cost

The price on the order form is only half of what you pay for hireEZ. The other half is written in its Terms of Service, and several clauses favour the vendor. The current terms, last updated 17 July 2026, say hireEZ invoices upfront for the whole service term, that fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing, and that fees are owed regardless of actual usage - hireEZ Terms. None of this is unusual for enterprise SaaS, but it means an unused seat is simply lost money.

The renewal and credit clauses are where the real exposure lies. hireEZ reserves the right to revise renewal fees on 30 calendar days' notice before your term ends, with no stated cap on the increase, and continued use counts as acceptance. The Agentic Platform Addendum adds that credits may expire and may not carry over between periods, and "may be consumed at rates that HTM establishes and may change". Early termination for convenience is at hireEZ's discretion, with no refund and the unpaid balance due immediately. After termination you get 90 days to export your data. hireEZ publishes no overage rate today; the last one it published, on the 2024 Business Tier page, was $75 per 100 extra credits.

Real customer experiences show why those clauses matter more than the headline price. In October 2025 a small-business customer since 2019 reported a 400% renewal increase announced "one day before renewal", and in the same thread described invoices that said "Credits Do Not Expire" before the policy changed - Reddit r/recruiting. Another user complained that contact and export credits were split, so revealing and exporting a candidate are paid separately. These are individual anecdotes from a handful of posters, not measured rates, but the pattern is consistent from 2023 through 2026, and a 2023 TrustRadius reviewer made the same point that the price "more than tripled" at renewal - TrustRadius.

The good news is that terms are negotiable for sales-led deals. A Vendr community note from a 201 to 1,000 employee company says hireEZ asked for a two-year contract to keep costs flat, and the buyer negotiated a flat one-year renewal instead - Vendr (archived). A 2026 customer on Reddit said their renewal price rose, but they negotiated unlimited contact credits in return - Reddit r/recruiting. Why this matters: your real cost is the first-year price plus every renewal, and the terms give hireEZ wide room at renewal. How to apply it: put a renewal cap (for example, no more than a single-digit percentage increase), a credit rollover clause and a named credit allowance into the order form itself, because the standard terms give you none of them.

6. Where hireEZ Is Worth the Money and Where It Is Not

hireEZ earns its price when you will actually consolidate tools onto it, and it wastes money when you only need a search box and contact data. It fits best with mid-size and enterprise talent teams that run sourcing, nurture campaigns, applicant screening and scheduling across many roles, and who can switch off a CRM or outreach contract to pay for it. hireEZ was named an Accelerator in Nucleus Research's 2025 Standalone Talent Acquisition Technology Value Matrix, a group Nucleus defines by usability and ease of deployment - PR Newswire.

Reviews are positive in aggregate but thinner and older than the star ratings suggest. The G2 rating shown on AWS Marketplace is 4.6 out of 5 from 263 ratings, and Capterra shows 4.7 from 103 reviews, but most Capterra reviews date from 2018 to 2020, when the product was still Hiretual - Capterra. TrustRadius scores it 7.9 out of 10 from 60 reviews and ratings. Reviewers consistently praise reach beyond LinkedIn, personal contact lookup, drip campaigns, ATS sync and onboarding support, and several note that it costs less than LinkedIn Recruiter.

Market intelligence is one area where hireEZ offers something most lightweight sourcing tools do not. The image below shows its Talent Market Insights module: a talent map, market salary distribution and which companies are gaining employees in a skill set, which is useful for workforce planning and for briefing hiring managers.

hireEZ Talent Market Insights

hireEZ Talent Market Insights showing a world talent map, an average market salary histogram and a table of companies with employee inflow
Source: hireEZ Hiring Intelligence page (hireez.com), accessed September 2026. Data shown is illustrative.

A salary histogram or talent map is only as reliable as the profiles behind it, and the recurring complaints in 2025 and 2026 reviews are about data quality rather than features. A November 2025 G2 reviewer reported receiving contact details for a relative instead of the candidate, and a July 2025 reviewer said emails and phone numbers are sometimes outdated - AWS Marketplace reviews. An August 2025 Capterra reviewer said searches return profiles without the mandatory skills they specified, and an April 2025 senior sourcer wrote that data was more accurate "when it was hireTual". A June 2025 reviewer complained that the interface changes so often it is hard to find things.

Put together, hireEZ tends to fit and misfit in predictable ways:

Situation Is hireEZ worth it?
Enterprise team consolidating CRM, outreach and screening Usually yes
High-volume team that wants Nexxt profiles and Talroo job ads in one flow Often yes
Solo recruiter who mainly needs search plus emails Usually no
Team that will keep every existing tool anyway No

The pattern behind that table is simple: hireEZ's value is proportional to the contracts it lets you cancel. A team that keeps LinkedIn Recruiter, its CRM and its sequencer is paying hireEZ's platform price for a sourcing tool, and several alternatives do that single job for a fifth of the money. Test coverage and contact accuracy on your own roles during the trial, because that is where 2025 and 2026 reviewers report the most disappointment, and no amount of agent automation compensates for a profile that is not in the index or an email that bounces. Why this matters: the star ratings describe the Hiretual-era product more than the 2026 one. How to apply it: weight 2025 and 2026 reviews, and score your own trial on relevant profiles found and emails that actually deliver.

7. The 8 Best hireEZ Alternatives in 2026

Every alternative below has at least one verifiable price, and most cost a fraction of hireEZ's $5,929 entry ticket. The right one depends on which half of hireEZ you actually wanted. Some buyers want hireEZ's sourcing and screening intelligence, some want its contact data, and some want the CRM and campaign layer. Very few need all three at platform prices, which is why each alternative below says which part of hireEZ it replaces rather than claiming to replace all of it.

Prices were rendered from each vendor's own pricing page on 29 September 2026. Where a vendor publishes nothing, we use a marketplace listing or Vendr's median contract instead, and say so. For a broader view of the category, our guide to the best AI sourcing agents covers autonomous tools in more depth.

7.1 HeroHunt.ai: AI Recruiter With Monthly Pricing

HeroHunt.ai is an AI Recruiter that searches up to 1 billion profiles across platforms, screens candidates against the role with current GPT and Claude models, and sends outreach automatically, with month-to-month billing (annual plans are optional). Its plans are published and self-serve: Starter at $149 a month, Pro at $249 and Team at $499 for three users - HeroHunt.ai Plans. Annual billing is ten times the monthly price, so Pro costs $2,490 a year against hireEZ's $5,929.

The meaningful difference from hireEZ is the meter. HeroHunt.ai charges by open positions per month (3, 10 or 20 depending on plan) rather than seats plus contact, export and AI-review credits, which makes cost predictable for a recruiter running a steady number of roles. The trade-off is that positions reset monthly and do not roll over, and it is a sourcing and outreach tool rather than a CRM, career-site builder or scheduler, so it replaces hireEZ's sourcing half, not its platform half. You can start an 8-day trial (card required) at uwi.herohunt.ai.

Plan Monthly Annual Included
Starter $149 $1,490 1 user, 3 positions/mo, 750M profiles
Pro $249 $2,490 1 user, 10 positions/mo, 1B profiles, analytics, integrations
Team $499 $4,990 3 users, 20 positions/mo, everything in Pro

Best for: solo recruiters and small teams who want AI sourcing, screening and outreach without an annual lock-in.

7.2 SeekOut Recruit Core: Enterprise Search, Now Self-Serve

SeekOut was historically hireEZ's closest enterprise rival, and in June 2026 it launched Recruit Core, a self-serve plan for small teams, at $149 a month paid annually upfront ($1,788 a year) or $179 billed monthly - SeekOut Pricing. It includes 500 contact credits and 1,000 exports a month, AI match scoring across 1B+ profiles and AI-drafted outreach, with a 14-day trial that needs no credit card.

Two details deserve care. First, SeekOut's own page is ambiguous on seats: the plan card pitches Core at individual recruiters, while the comparison table lists three seats included, so confirm in writing before you budget per head. Second, every tier above Core is custom-priced and billed annually, and Vendr puts the median SeekOut contract at $20,000 a year, above hireEZ's median. Our SeekOut pricing guide covers the enterprise tiers.

Plan Price Credits
Recruit Core (annual) $149/mo ($1,788/yr) 500 contacts, 1,000 exports per month
Recruit Core (monthly) $179/mo Same as annual
Higher tiers Custom, annual 750 contacts per seat per month

Best for: teams that liked hireEZ's search depth and want a comparable engine at roughly a third of the entry price.

7.3 Juicebox (PeopleGPT): Natural-Language Search With Agents

Juicebox built its reputation on PeopleGPT, a natural-language search engine over 800M+ profiles, and now sells autonomous sourcing agents as a separate line item. Pricing is published for every tier except Business: Starter at $99 per seat per month on yearly billing ($119 monthly) with 500 contact credits a month, Growth at $179 yearly ($199 monthly) with 1,500 contact credits per seat, and Juicebox Agents at $199 per agent per month - Juicebox Pricing. A free plan includes five one-off contact credits.

The catch is structural: the seat buys search and outreach, but the autonomous sourcing the marketing is built around is the per-agent add-on. A recruiter running three agents is paying $99 plus three agents, not $99. Vendr's median Juicebox contract is $26,147, higher than hireEZ's - Vendr. Our Juicebox alternatives guide compares it in depth.

Plan Yearly billing Monthly billing
Starter $99/seat/mo $119/seat/mo
Growth $179/seat/mo $199/seat/mo
Agents add-on $199/agent/mo $199/agent/mo

Best for: recruiters who want strong natural-language search and are happy to pay per agent for automation.

7.4 Pin: Budget AI Sourcing for Solo Recruiters

Pin is a newer AI sourcing tool aimed squarely at the solo and small-team buyers that hireEZ's pricing pushes away. Its Solo plan is $99 per user per month, billed annually only, and Professional is $135 on annual billing or $179 monthly, with 1,000 contact lookup credits per seat per month - Pin Pricing. A free plan offers five contact lookups a week, enough to test result quality on a real role before paying.

Pin's appeal is price and simplicity, and its Solo plan costs about $1,188 a year, a fifth of hireEZ's entry seat. The trade-off is maturity: Pin now lists a CRM (marked new) and AI interview scheduling alongside sourcing and outreach, but it is a younger product than hireEZ, and the Solo plan cannot be paid month to month either. As with any sourcing tool, check coverage on your hardest roles before committing to the annual plan.

Plan Price Billing
Free $0 5 contact lookups per week
Solo $99/user/mo Annual only
Professional $135/user/mo Annual ($179 monthly)

Best for: independent recruiters who want low-cost AI search and contact lookups with a published price.

7.5 Fetcher: Automated Sourcing With an Optional Human Sourcer

Fetcher combines automated candidate sourcing and outreach with, on its top plan, a dedicated human sourcer, which makes it the closest alternative for teams that want sourcing done for them. Self-serve is $115 a month on either billing cycle, Growth is $379 a month on annual billing ($499 monthly) and Amplify is $649 annual ($849 monthly), with Amplify including two seats and a dedicated sourcer for roughly four to six roles - Fetcher Pricing.

Fetcher's meter is leads rather than contact credits: Self-serve includes 300 leads a month from its 500M+ candidate database, Growth up to 2,500 leads a year and Amplify up to 5,000. That suits teams that measure sourcing by candidates delivered, and Vendr's median Fetcher contract of $11,000 sits just under hireEZ's - Vendr. The limitation is scope: Fetcher is built around delivering sourced candidates, although Growth and Amplify also include a candidate CRM and inbound applicant reviews (up to 2,500 and 5,000 a year), and its FAQ confirms month-to-month plans cost roughly 30% more than annual.

Plan Annual billing Monthly billing
Self-serve $115/mo $115/mo
Growth $379/mo $499/mo
Amplify $649/mo $849/mo

Best for: in-house teams that want a steady flow of sourced, contacted candidates without building searches themselves.

7.6 Gem: CRM-First Platform Priced by Company Size

Gem is the alternative for teams that value hireEZ's CRM and analytics layer more than its search. Gem prices its main plans by total company headcount (FTE), not by recruiter, and publishes only its Startup Program: $130 a month on yearly billing for companies with 1 to 10 employees ($300 monthly), and $180 a month for 11 to 30 employees - Gem Pricing. Companies under 30 employees get Gem All-in-One free for six months, then 50% off.

Beyond the startup bands, Gem is custom-priced, and Vendr's median contract is $25,700 across 233 purchases, nearly double hireEZ's - Vendr. AI sourcing, AI application review and AI rediscovery unlock only with an AI-Powered seat, a separate seat type whose price is not published, so the AI features that compete most directly with hireEZ are an upsell. Our Gem pricing guide explains the FTE bands in more detail.

Plan Price Basis
Startup, 1-10 FTE $130/mo yearly ($300 monthly) Company headcount
Startup, 11-30 FTE $180/mo yearly Company headcount
Gem + ATS, All-in-One Custom Company FTE count

Best for: startups under 30 people, and larger teams whose main need is a recruiting CRM with strong analytics.

7.7 LinkedIn Recruiter: The Incumbent hireEZ Wants to Replace

LinkedIn Recruiter is the tool most hireEZ buyers are really comparing against, since hireEZ's own worksheet is built around reducing LinkedIn seats. LinkedIn publishes no Recruiter price on its site, but its UK government price list gives a verified benchmark: £8,925 per seat per year for one or two licences, falling to £6,350 per seat at 251+ licences, with at least 150 InMails a month per licence - UK G-Cloud 14 price list. That document dates from May 2024, so treat it as a list-price benchmark rather than a 2026 quote.

Recruiter Lite, the self-serve tier, is sold monthly or yearly with a one-month free trial that requires a card, and its price is shown only to logged-in users - LinkedIn Help. Lite includes 30 InMails per licence per month against Recruiter's 150. hireEZ's own worksheet puts LinkedIn Recruiter's public list at $170 to $900 per seat per month. LinkedIn's advantage is that candidates maintain their own profiles and InMail reaches them directly; its weakness is cost per seat and a closed ecosystem. Our LinkedIn recruiting pricing guide covers every tier and the Hiring Assistant add-on.

Licences (G-Cloud 14) Price per seat per year
1-2 £8,925
31-50 £7,500
251+ £6,350

Best for: teams whose candidates are overwhelmingly active on LinkedIn and who rely on InMail as their main channel.

7.8 Loxo: Recruiting CRM and Sourcing for Agencies

Loxo combines an applicant tracking system, recruiting CRM and sourcing database, which makes it the natural alternative for agencies that want hireEZ's pipeline features in a system of record. Core starts at $149 per user per month and Professional at $199, both billed annually and paid upfront, but Loxo Source (its 850M+ profile talent graph), the AI agents and 2,500 pooled AI credits per seat per month start at Professional, so a seat that actually sources like hireEZ costs $2,388 a year, not $1,788 - Loxo Pricing. A 7-day trial of Professional needs no card.

Loxo flags both prices as a limited-time offer for new customers, so check whether renewal returns to a higher list price before you sign. Its advantage over hireEZ is that it replaces your ATS rather than sitting on top of it, which matters for agencies without an enterprise ATS. The trade-off is fit: Loxo is designed around agency workflows, so large in-house teams already running an enterprise ATS get less from it.

Plan Price Notes
Core $149/user/mo ATS + CRM, no Loxo Source database
Professional $199/user/mo Loxo Source, agents, 2,500 AI credits per seat
Enterprise Custom Contact sales

Best for: recruiting agencies that want ATS, CRM and sourcing in one tool at a published price.

Across all eight, the gap to hireEZ's entry price is the headline: most alternatives start between roughly $1,200 and $1,800 a year for one recruiter, against $5,929. That gap narrows once you add agents, extra seats or credits, and it disappears entirely if hireEZ lets you cancel two or three other contracts, which is why the comparison in the next section puts meter and fit next to price. Why this matters: the cheapest sticker is not the cheapest tool once credits run out. How to apply it: shortlist two alternatives from different groups above and trial them against hireEZ on the same roles.

8. Full Comparison: Price, Meter and Best Fit

On entry price alone, hireEZ costs 2.5 to 5 times as much as every self-serve alternative, but the meter each tool charges on matters as much as the sticker. A seat-based tool with generous credits can be cheaper per placement than a cheaper tool whose credits run out, and a position-metered tool rewards a steady req load.

Read each row as three separate questions. The entry price is the cash you commit on day one, the meter is what makes the bill grow as you hire more, and the Vendr median is where negotiated deals tend to settle when a vendor publishes no rate card. Where that column shows no negotiated figure, treat the list price as the only verified number and budget for the meter on top. The table summarises what each tool charges, how it meters, and what buyers pay when there is a negotiated benchmark.

Tool Entry price (verified) Meter Vendr median Best for
hireEZ $494/mo, annual upfront ($549 monthly) Seat + contact, export, AI credits $13,000/yr Enterprise stack consolidation
HeroHunt.ai $149/mo monthly Open positions per month Self-serve list AI sourcing and outreach, no lock-in
SeekOut $149/mo annual ($179 monthly) Seat + contact credits $20,000/yr Deep search at lower entry cost
Juicebox $99/seat/mo annual Seat + credits + agents $26,147/yr Natural-language search, agents
Pin $99/user/mo annual only Seat + lookup credits Not published Budget solo sourcing
Fetcher $115/mo Sourced candidates/leads $11,000/yr Done-for-you sourcing (Growth and up)
Gem $130/mo (1-10 FTE) annual Company FTE $25,700/yr CRM and analytics
LinkedIn Recruiter £8,925/seat/yr (1-2 seats) Seat, volume-banded Not comparable LinkedIn-first teams
Loxo $199/user/mo annual for sourcing (Core $149) Seat (AI credits from Professional) $6,000/yr Agencies needing an ATS

Seen as first-year cost for a single recruiter on each tool's entry plan with annual billing, the gap becomes concrete. The chart below uses only published list prices, so it excludes LinkedIn (quoted in pounds and per seat bands) and Gem (priced per company, not per recruiter).

First-Year Cost for One Recruiter on the Entry Plan (Annual Billing)

The spread is wide: hireEZ's $5,929 against a cluster of alternatives between $1,188 and $2,388. Loxo appears at its Professional price because its $149 Core plan does not include the Loxo Source sourcing database. Why this matters: a solo recruiter or small agency can run two or three alternatives in parallel for the price of one hireEZ seat, which is often the smarter test. How to apply it: pick the two alternatives whose meter matches how you work (credits if you reveal many contacts, positions if you run a steady set of roles, leads if you want sourcing done for you), trial both on the same live roles, and only then decide whether hireEZ's platform features justify the premium.

9. How to Choose, and How to Negotiate if You Stay

Choose by the job you need done, not by the feature list: search, contact data, sourcing-as-a-service, CRM, or full stack consolidation each point to a different tool. hireEZ is the right answer only for the last one. The decision tree below routes the most common situations to the tool that fits them best.

Choosing Between hireEZ and Its Alternatives
Start from the job you actually need done

The branch most buyers overlook is the contact-data one. If contact reveals were the main reason hireEZ was on your list, a dedicated data tool does that job far more cheaply. Apollo costs $49 per seat per month on annual billing ($65 monthly) with 30,000 credits a year, where an email reveal costs one credit and a phone number costs eight - Apollo Pricing. ContactOut sells unlimited email reveals at $49 a month with US and UK data included, or $99 with phone numbers, under a fair-use policy - ContactOut Pricing. Neither is a recruiting platform, so pair one with a search method such as X-ray search or a free Boolean search string builder.

If you do stay with hireEZ, negotiate the terms that the standard contract leaves open. These are the asks that map directly onto the clauses in section 5:

Ask for Why it matters
A renewal cap in the order form The terms allow repricing on 30 days' notice
Named credit allowances with rollover Standard credits can expire and do not carry over
Combined contact and export credits Otherwise revealing and exporting are paid separately
A one-year term Two-year locks are sometimes requested
Itemised add-ons Sourcing and screening are priced as add-ons

The logic behind that table is leverage timing. Your leverage is highest before the first signature and in the 60 days before renewal, when you can credibly show a trialled alternative. Bring the Vendr median, your trial usage data and a quote from one alternative to that conversation. A 2026 customer who secured unlimited contact credits at a renewal where the price still rose shows that credit allowances are more negotiable than the headline rate, and the credit line is usually where your real overspend sits. Why this matters: the contract, not the rate card, sets your two-year cost. How to apply it: never walk into a hireEZ renewal without a live alternative quote in hand.

10. The Bottom Line

hireEZ is a capable, genuinely enterprise-grade platform with a pricing model built for consolidation, and it only pays off if you consolidate. The solo entry is $494 a month, billed as $5,929 upfront, or $549 a month on the monthly-payment version of the same annual plan, with capped credits. Teams pay a median of about $13,000 a year, quoted against the tools hireEZ replaces, and the contract gives hireEZ room to reprice at renewal and to expire unused credits.

For an enterprise team ready to switch off a CRM, a sequencer and some LinkedIn seats, that model can genuinely lower total spend, and the four-week verification is a fair way to prove it. For everyone else, the alternatives are cheaper and more flexible. If you want AI sourcing, screening and outreach billed month to month, HeroHunt.ai starts at $149. If you want deep search close to hireEZ's, SeekOut Recruit Core and Juicebox cost a third or less. If you only needed contact data, Apollo or ContactOut will do it for a few hundred dollars a year.

Monthly plans from $149, metered on open positions rather than seats and credits, with an 8-day trial (card required).

Whichever way you go, insist on three numbers in writing before you sign anything: the all-in first-year price, the credit allowance per seat, and the maximum renewal increase. Those three figures, not the headline rate, decide what hireEZ or any alternative will actually cost you over two years.

This guide reflects hireEZ's pricing and the sourcing tool market as of September 2026. Prices, credit allowances and contract terms in this category change frequently, so verify current details on each vendor's own site before purchasing.
